On Monday 17th October the staff and children of St Thomas of Canterbury School in Mitcham, took part in their annual Harvest Festival, led by the school chaplaincy team which consists of children from Reception to Year 6. They thanked God for nature and the food from the harvest. It helped the children to remember that not everyone has as much as they do and challenges them to be generous to others.
The parents and children were very generous with their contributions. The children have chosen to donate to Wimbledon Foodbank, who helped the school community during the pandemic, and the food will be distributed to the less fortunate in the community.
