Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Sixth Form College were over the moon at how wonderful their Confirmation Mass with Canon Gerard Bradley was on the evening of Thursday 2 May. Eleven students received the sacrament, with one also receiving Reconciliation and the Eucharist for the first time.
After a six session course on matters of Prayer, the Mass, the sacraments, the human and divine state of Jesus, the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit and Catholic Social Teaching, as well as attending a day run by the Southwark Catholic Youth Service, their candidates were ready.
Canon Gerard set the packed chapel alight with his homily referencing their college patron, St Francis Xavier. A reception was held afterwards.
