Contract:         Part-time (0.6FTE), Permanent
Salary:              £115,000 to £125,000 depending on experience, holiday allowance and employer pension

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Education Trust (CtRCET) is a family of Catholic schools dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of every student. Purpose of the Role

To offer principled, energetic, and strategic leadership and guidance to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Education Trust throughout all learning settings and stages, and to uphold the unique ethos and Catholic identity of each school within the Trust.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Catholic leader to serve as our new Chief Executive Officer. The CEO will provide strategic vision and operational leadership for the Trust, ensuring that all our schools provide an excellent Catholic education. This post would suit a collaborative individual who will provide strategic direction and educational leadership, as well as the ability to build external relationships and foster social and professional capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The vision to shape the strategic direction and Catholic character of our Trust.
  • The ability to lead, collaborate and inspire others.
  • A deep understanding of the current educational landscape and experience working with Diocesan bodies, key Government departments, the local community, and other schools and Trusts.
  • An appreciation of how multiple factors influence Catholic schools.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and external partners.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A practising Catholic with a deep commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Proven leadership experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • A strategic thinker with a track record of successful organisational development and improvement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • A strong understanding of school governance, finance, and compliance.

Qualifications

As this is a reserved position, our CEO must hold Qualified Teacher Status and be a practicing Catholic(1) who considers their faith a fundamental part of their identity. The successful candidate should understand the role of a Catholic school leader in fostering the spiritual development of pupils and staff. They must also recognise the central importance of Religious Education as a core subject in our school’s curriculum, particularly in a diverse community.
