CTK Sixth Form Student’s work exhibited nationally

We are delighted that Christ the King Sixth Forms students work has been published nationally, making it into the FE Week national press. This comes from CTK’s involvement in the SFCA’s (Sixth Form College Association) latest national exhibition, entitled ‘Planet Future’, which has a focus on students’ creative interpretation of the theme, and their reflections on how the world is changing and what its future holds.

Executive Principal Shireen Razey says, “The SFCA annual art exhibition is an excellent opportunity for our talented artists to showcase their outstanding work, this year we’ve thoroughly enjoyed displaying our work to not only the SFCA, for their ‘Planet Future’ exhibition, but also to the citizens of Lewisham and its surrounding areas.”

One of the learners featured in the exhibit and in the FE Week national press, Arin, had this to say, “My experience at CTK has been a gateway for me to look at my different options in the art field for my future and along the way I’ve met some wonderful people and friends that I know will stick by me for life. CTK has taught me to look at the creative process of what art can really be in an alternative light that I’d never thought of before and I’m grateful.”

The exhibition was well attended through its run-time, allowing many members of the public to experience these expressive, emotional and thought-provoking works of art from our learners.
