Ursuline College were very pleased to see the Silver DofE group being able to go out on their practice and assessed expeditions. Despite not being able to camp out due to current restrictions, thanks to the flexibility of DofE with a Difference, they still had a fantastic experience walking their planned routes in the countryside carrying all their equipment and showed some outstanding navigation skills.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them on passing their expedition section. This means that many have now completed their awards and are just waiting for them to be verified and a few have just one or two assessor reports to submit to complete their awards. We look forward to them receiving their Silver Awards in the very near future and hope we can soon move on to helping the Bronze participants complete their training which was cut short by lockdown so they can also go out on their expeditions.
Mrs Englefield, Academy Principal, would like to thank Mrs Rowe and Mr Joyce for providing students with this opportunity.
