Members of the Richard Challoner School community are delighted that the school’s excellent outcomes, once again, have been recognised by SSAT (Schools’, Students’ and Teachers’ Network) in this year’s Educational Outcomes Awards.
This prestigious award recognises that our school is among the highest performing secondary schools in the country, based on 2024 performance data and information from Ofsted.
Richard Challoner School was recognised in two categories, receiving awards for being in the top 10% of schools nationally for student progress and in the top 10% of non-selective schools for student attainment in the 2024 end of KS4 exams.
The SSAT Educational Outcomes database compares all state-funded schools in England. To be recognised with an Educational Outcomes Award is a significant achievement and a testament to the work of the whole school community.

Reflecting on the achievement of these Outcomes Awards, Mr Sean Maher, Head Teacher at Richard Challoner School, commented: “We are so proud of all the students and staff who have achieved these outstanding outcomes whilst at the same time building a happy and safe community that looks out for one another and challenges each individual to achieve their God given potential in sport, drama, music, art and many more areas. We strive for Everyday Excellence in all that we do and say. Awards like this are a lovely recognition of that striving, as well as our continued efforts to do Ordinary things Extraordinarily well”.
